Content Management describes the workflow process by which new content is
created. From research to authoring to editing and publishing, establishing
a formal content management system is the most efficient way to develop and
approve information. If we take this concept one step further, we should consider
the potential added complexity when content is being developed for release
in multiple languages. Each language requires that one or more translators
be engaged. The output from these resources must then be consolidated, edited
and proofread to ensure consistency with the source language.
Seamlessly integrating and managing production across such a wide number of
distributed resources requires a dedicated system, which includes the following:
::: A core content management tool to manage internal authors and approvers.
::: Technical linkage with a translation service provider who manages linguistic
resources.
::: The ability to reintroduce translated content into the approval and publication
process.
